We should recognize that helping people who are asking for God’s help in partnership with their own efforts to transform their lives - is right. And giving free lunches to those who repeatedly choose to be bums is not.

2. You feel good about it.
Giving to help put families in touch with their children; and children in touch with their parents will brighten your day and warm your heart. It empowers you when you do something meaningful and lasting to help devastated families.

3. You make a permanent difference.
Glenhaven Sober Living Homes is one of the cheapest places to live in San Clemente. We offer a chance... not charity. (We do take sick or severely disabled people when God brings them our way.) A primary objective is to put men and women in an environment where they can learn to work in partnership with God to take care of themselves. Put that with our personal experiences -- and you can see how your gift to the needy through Glenhaven Sober Living Homes gets at the root causes of their poverty and addictions.

4. You improve our community.
A better life for one parent or child strengthens the community. Drug addiction and alcoholism cost our community and its people more than money.

5. Your money works hard.
Our high level of efficiency is among the best today. Our homes are run primarily by volunteers. We have a 501c3 non-profit status. Glenhaven does not engage in big fund raising campaigns. I feel it would displace our energy.
